Ask Dr. Moravec: Is Invisalign® really customized for each patient?

Yes, it is, and that’s part of what makes it work, says Dr. Moravec. To find out if you are the right candidate for Invisalign treatment, the first thing the doctor does is to take an impression of your teeth as they are now and digitize it. Using special software, we look at the current positioning of your teeth and compare it to the way your teeth should look.

Next Dr. Moravec and our team use special software to map out the exact path your teeth will take from the beginning of your treatment to the end. Based on the results, a set of custom aligners are created just for your teeth. Throughout the course of treatment, you will be required to wear these clear, removable aligners one at a time; each one moving your teeth closer and closer to their final, perfectly aligned position. And since the aligners are virtually invisible, nobody around you will even know you are wearing braces!

The Moravec Orthodontics office is located in a historically renovated Victorian home that includes game and play areas that keep siblings occupied during appointments. Wi-Fi is accessible for all.

Some people wonder why the team at Moravec Orthodontics work so hard to give our patients straight teeth. Meet Our Orthodontist

Dr. Moravec truly loves practicing orthodontics. Providing his patients with a great smile that will last a lifetime is exceptionally rewarding. When their faces beam on the day they finish their SureSmile or Invisalign treatment it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Dr. Moravec has been practicing orthodontics in Plainfield since 1985. His undergraduate collegiate studies were completed at Michigan State University and Dental School at the University of Michigan. He obtained his Master's of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Moravec has been married to his wife, Chandra, even longer than he has been practicing orthodontics. They have two daughters, Maya and Eva. His interests outside of orthodontics include history, travel, aquariums and triathlons. (He has completed five Ironman Triathlons.) In 2007, Dr. Moravec took his love of history to another level by completing his Master's Degree in history at DePaul University.
